Active Week 2025

We had a fun filled active week in Bohermore National School from the 6th of May to the 9th of May 2025. On Tuesday the 6th; the younger children followed an organised obstacle course, while the older children created their own obstacle courses using equipment on the pitch. They had great fun getting fit and active using these obstacle courses. On Wednesday the 7th the children engaged in a “Walk and Talk Partner Activity”. On Thursday the 8th and Friday the 9th the children engaged in a “Dance and Movement Party”; dancing to music on the yard. We had an active yard during Active Week also; using the skipping ropes on yard too. We also integrated our annual Sponsored Walk and Skipathon into our Active Week on Friday the 9th of May. We set off from the gates of Bohermore N.S. to the end of Highpark. The children put on their Hi-Vis jackets and made memories with their class mates; all while been active and raising vital funds for our school. We even got a Garda Escort from the school and back and to top it all off our school principal Ms Sheehy had organised a surprise upon arrival back to the school; music was playing, bubbles were at the ready and an ice-cream van was there too to cool us all down!
